The fabric is sourced from Kyoto, where it is dyed at a long-established black crest dyeing studio that has been in operation for over a century. This process uses groundwater drawn from 70 meters below Kyoto’s surface and a dye solution passed down through generations since the Taisho Era (1912–1926). This traditional technique, recognized as a government-designated craft, produces a richer, deeper black that becomes more distinctive with wear. After sourcing the dyed fabric, the garments are manufactured in China, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Designed in Los Angeles, the series represents a seamless fusion of global expertise and timeless style.
